Its November, which in food industry is popularly known as the beginning of "Sizzler Festival". Many hotels, restaurants, even the small food joints has started serving hot sizzling sizzlers to celebrate the season. For those who don't know the history of Sizzlers, we would like to enlighten you about it.

The sizzler’s Indian history, however, began in Bombay in 1963, when Firoz Irani started a restaurant named ‘The Sizzler’ near Excelsior Cinema, to showcase this novelty.
After Firoz Irani passed away, in 1967 his son Shahrookh Irani opened ‘Touche’ on Warden Road, where he continued his father’s sizzler tradition. Both of those restaurants, Sizzler and Touche, were cult restaurants in their time, inspiring others like Kobe Sizzlers, Yoko’s an Fountain Sizzlers to follow. In 1971, Shahrookh Irani moved to Pune, and started ‘The Place: Touche’, which is still pretty popular.
The good part about a sizzler is, it can have loads of veggies in it hence its healthy for you to some extent but apart from vegetables, other sauces, patties and many more stuffs are loaded that can cause weight gain if you eat them on regular basis. Hence once in a while wont be a problem.
Hotel Rama Heritage, made a very lucrative business (last year) during sizzler festival as people preferred their veg sizzler with brownie the most. Even this year the overcrowded restaurant doesn't seem to get vacant soon. Still you can visit and try out their hot sizzling sizzler and be a part of their list of satisfied guest.
